The Wilderness Downtown: Must see interactive video!
An insanely cool interactive video song for the young soul in you! Must see!
Arcade fire:Wilderness Downtown, took a different approach to create a music video for their song. Bravely discarding the traditional approach, they have use Google Chrome Experimental html5 video audio capabilities and real time canvas for this song.
The moment you hit their homepage, you are shown a beautiful plain white canvas with tree branch effects, hundreds of birds fluttering around, all rendered in real time within your. You are then asked to enter the place where you grew up in your young ages, and it pre-loads area details from google street view. It took me about 5min to load the video on a 512KBPS connection, but it was worth the wait! The song is simply amazing, pulling you into the video, bringing back some good old memories. The less I say, the better. Open up the page from your Google Chrome browser only [ their recommendation] for a rich experience and get set to take a trip down your memory lane...
Go to The Wilderness here.

As word of note, the interactive vid is bit processor intensive, so close unnecessary background applications for a smooth playback.
