I recently bumped on an interesting website http://www.facesaerch.com/ and guess what, it lets you search people's faces. You just type in..,say, a celebrity's name and it shows up all images that contain faces of that celebrity. The interface is kinda similar to cool iris image viewer. Face Saerch is supposedly Developed based on google AJAX API. You may find similar functionality in google search under more options, but hey, the 3d image viewer looks cool and uncluttered ;)
This could be a very useful tool if you vaguely remember that person's name and wanna look up in the database for matching faces. Though, the drawback is, their database seems to be in process of updating, so some names might be left out. Check it out yourself!
Its old & doesnt work to its best ability.. and has pretty bad results...not that comprehensive too
